Lady Hen-Rietta stayed the night with me, and she was fed and ate a little breakfast this morning. She is such a sweet lady, but she told me she needed to go back home to the coop. Leghorns will show true love and are serious about affection. If they don’t want to lap sit, they won’t. (My lady does and shows me)
:love

SO my silkies still need names. The roo that is crowing is gonna be named Mando from Mandalorians lol, Star Wars is my favorite. I think I know which one it is. And he is partridge not splash. So 1 partridge, 1 blue, 1 grey, one splash. the splash comes closest to me.
I quit taking the Lithium I started it a month before I got sick, I was on and am starting to feel better. I started twitching at night when going to sleep, even hit myself in the face a couple of times lol.
But for the past 2 days my right side of my back and hip are out and I cant walk very well. Have a drs appt. on the phone in 40 minutes.

Yolk sac/membrane & umbilicus?

My turn for a chick with trailing tissue.

My niece texted me that one of the chicks hatched and was trailing tissue; I just received the text as I was mucking out. I told her I would post here on the forum, but she replied back that it dried up and fell off on its own.

These animals are going to stress me out!

Much better and how are you? Is that shoulder still painful?

I hope that weather is drying up for you and your lovely animals
It's warmer, but very mucky from all the rain, we need a nice good HOT breeze to dry things up - but that is not likely. The HOT weather is out west with all the wild fires - crazy year.

I did manage to get the 2 mamas out with the babies this morning for a bit. Those Silkie babies are very 'slow' - the fourth chick which is a mutt is way more advanced, and running and leaping everywhere. Those Silkies are just so darn tiny, and just don't seem to want to follow the mamas. I had to pick them up and bring them back to the Hen House as the mamas were trying their best to scream at them to follow and they wouldn't, the fourth chick no problem, but the other three - nope I hate to call them dumb, but they seem very stupid.

Oh they can eat and pack the grub away, but they just don't seem motivated to run after the mamas.

If Mr P is splash laced as it appears, then the white chicks will be splash as well, from the splash lady (I can't remember her name, sorry @Ponypoor). She has beautiful markings. I'm interested to see how the littles turn out.

Saw the mention of Buttercup.
Yes I can't wait to see them 'in person'. There are 9 hatched and 1 more pipped; my niece will get me a count at Lunch time when the kids are eating.

Buttercup my trouble maker :) she will not be contained.
