Also, just now Eli really chased poor little Babs away even though they were nowhere near Eli’s precious eggs (golf ball).
Is she just weirdly hormonal?

Tomorrow I need to try to get video or a picture of how I take Eli off her nest. She perches on my closed fist gripping tight on my thumb. In my other hand I hold a bowl of food which she attacks with vigor.
Right now she is loving Rice Krispies. I understand that isn’t a complete feed for her but I am happy when she eats anything - and they are packed with vitamin B!

The video you posted, she is moving & flying well, and scratching one-legged, as you mentioned before. My ignorant theory is the onset of broodiness somehow played havoc with her and caused the Wobblies. Lowered her ability to metabolism B vitamins? I find it hard to believe the two things aren’t connected.

There’s a great story behind the acquisition of that little guy. The owners loved him so much that they wanted him to have a better life than they could provide for him. Providence was surely the factor in my obtaining him.

I am not going to lie, I sometimes go back and read old posts. Drumstick's life is documented here. There are times I miss that boy so bad and it gives comfort now more then sheer pain to remember him.

This was meant to be my diary of my flock. It's so much more than that now. I think up until 12/18 months ago it still works as a diary. After that....

I'm a little apprehensive but after reading several recipes for the oven I believe I can cook it to my normal level of tenderness but I worry most about using liquid smoke. I only used a little because I don't want it to overpower the flavor. This makes me want to get a pellet grill so I can set and forget until it's ready. I agree. There is another thread about a chicken having seizures when she went broody and she’s ago Shad posted about his hen Bracket who had the same.
I think it is possible that she had a seizure that first night she fell off the roost.
I have seen no sign of wobbling since she locked herself away in the nest box. Now she is out and about much less - but the stand on one leg and scratch your head test is very clear. When I was worried about balance she could not do that. Now she can.
Hormone induced wobbles?

Furious

Mr P just earned himself a 'grab by the tail and fling off into wherever he lands'.

I could hear the mamas getting upset so I went to see what was up and some of the ladies were congregating around the doorway were the mamas are hanging out, and the white chick became separated away from mamas it seems and I caught Mr P peeking at it.

To say I was furious is an understatement - anyways he earned a grab and toss for that and a hefty glare from me.

The chick seems non the worse but still, they are teeny tiny, and he hasn't done any of that crap with the Tweens.

Not very happy so far with Mr P and the mamas and babies.

Is that the one you think is a male?
