Tick on the back of my shoulder.
Handy tick temoving tool - don’t leave home without it.
Two ticks removed and placed in sealed container.
Should I drown them, freeze them, set them alight, or feed them to the chickens?
Have I mentioned how much I hate ticks.
Now I need to check the current Lyme protocol to see if I need prophylactic antibiotics.

Ugh.

Freeze them then feed them to the chooks! That is awful!

I think that is the answer. Frozen tick garnish for the next time the chickens have mash.
I checked on the CDC site and I think they hadn’t yet drunk my blood so I don’t need antibiotics.
I hate those things!

Yes. Heat is way more dangerous to chickens than cold. Their combs and toes are well designed to limit damage from frostbite. They have very limited ability to cool down.
That has been my observations also. Not to say cold isn't a serious concern, but I think heat is more insidious. I will find the heat wonderful, but the chickens not so much - they can't prance around in shorts and a tank top, hard to get rid of those feathers!

What about eyes at the side of your head as well as two extra pairs of arms and hands 🤔

Good heavens lady you sure are a busy bee
I am unmotivated today and easily distracted by those chicks. And seems my office is the place to be with EVERYONE - so much for my nice new floor! It does clean of chicken poop really easy though!

My sister called yesterday all freaked out she felt something on her while she was sleeping and went and pulled a tick off her neck.

She called me all freaked out and I told her 'go to the walk in clinic and they will give you a course of antibiotics for three days as a preventive to Lyme Disease'.

But no I don't know anything.... So she called the County Health Unit this morning to see what she should do and they said to call her Dr. She called her Dr who told her 'don't even bother to come in and show me, there is so much Lyme Disease these days I will prescribe you a course of preventive antibiotics'.

See isn't it good she double checked to make sure that I know what I am talking about?
