Everyone is outside now, Fluffy got confused with all the chicks and pecked poor Penne thinking it was one of the others, Penne looked so disgusted she went and pecked one of the other chicks.

I think that Penne and the Silkies want to meet them but the mamas are having none of that. But they are sitting about 2’ near each other.

With no Momma hens but me, chaos has taken over the Chicken Palace. I have officially given up trying to manage anything - the Pentagonists (so aptly named by @bgmathteach) do not understand the meaning of barriers. They have discovered a whole wide world and they are making the most of it!

Happy Friday everyone. I am mentally preparing myself for the exhaustion that is to follow over the next few days. The memorial day horse show starts tomorrow. I think at some point Rosie is wanting to bath Russ today. If Russ hates one thing in life, it is a bath so I will have to help her. The show is supposed to start at 7 tomorrow night. I figure it will end not earlier then 4. Even after she is finished Rosie will want to be down there watching. We will come home and crash and repeat again Sunday. Monday I will be dead to the world but I would not have it any other way. Good times with friends in a family atmosphere, good food and many many beautiful and fast horses.

Yes these kiddos also! They have discovered flying as a mode of fast escapes from things.

Well about time to put them in, get lunch and get cracking, I also have one little chick that seems smaller and maybe not so active, I will keep an eye on her.

They actually are not too bad, but I did have to use the bucket to haul them all back inside.

If they continue to get along as well as they did today, I bet they will be fully integrated in a weeks time, except for night time roosting.
