Looks great, though. Is it the Trek type boards? Looks like it - those should last the rest f your lifetime - so shouldn't have to do it again. That's a pleasant thought for you :) And just think of all the extra fishing time you will get in. And all the ribbing Jeff can give you about you getting old. :lau

Now, all you need to do is put a little scratch grain out there next time and you won't have to pay a tax photo, as there will already be a chook or two in it 😆

(What a peaceful looking setting - I would probably only enjoy it in your winter, though. I can't stand the heat!)
It looks like a delightful place, but I confess my first thought was of mosquitoes!

Can't stand the heat? The chooks said they are stronger than you, and that they can stand the heat when they have instant access to my office, which has air conditioning.
I went to Phoenix, Arizona in the April/May time period. It was an oven, even at night.

The heat is quite miserable now but the morning and evening are very relaxing. The new boards are repurposed 2x4s that Lety pulled from the dumpster at a nearby construction site. Pulled nails then cut to length and 2 coats of paint. Once I have replaced the entire walkway I will put a cut of the rubberized paint as a finishing touch. Good thing about Jeff is we are only a few months apart in age and we grew up in the same part of KY so we think alike. As far as I know we're not kin, lol.

Do they get any Swedish Flow Hens in your area? They come in assorted colors and some have head tufts, some don't - though I'm not sure theirs are as large as your girl.

She almost looks like part sebright, but it is probably the gorgeous golden base color (lighter than sebrights, yes?) and the speckling.
The color base is similar to the Sebright and bantam game crosses. I'll get a few pics of them for comparison. She's about the size of the Sebrights so it's possible she is a Sebright cross.
