Thirsty Thursday

Hot and humid today, I threw a couple buckets of water out to make some mud for the kiddos to muck about in

The babies preferred the waterer

But Tuff and the others enjoyed some wild water

My BIL/Niece’s hens were out and about for a few hours, had a few good scraps with Raven taking on Misty, Rico and Buttercup; Rico was just not backing down so I am broke it up, Raven is not a youngster and she is quite overweight and in this heat and humidity I didn’t want her to get back injured.

They are now back in the Summer House relaxing.

They really do! Incredibly wide bodies, They also take longer to finish growing up then a-lot of breeds so I am honestly more then a bit concerned about them being about to fit through the auto door once fully grown I adore my door so I really hope they can squeeze through.

Hopefully, the younger folks here will be better educated on the dangers of the sun!

I've been treating a sunburn on my shoulder with fresh aloe. I cut it from my aloe plants in one of my flower beds.
I was stupid not to wear a rash guard. Now I certainly will. Sunburns aren't fun, and knowing about what can happen makes it even scarier.

My dad had a possible skin cancer area on his hand, but it got burned off. When he told me that it could be skin cancer, my heart stopped. That was a few months back, and he's fine now.

Still sending tons of prayers and hugs to a full recovery and a successful surgery.

I'm so glad that you finally have a wattle crew! And a barred rock at that! Larry is sooo cute! I love Raven.
Such pretty wattle and comb crew!

Good Morning Fluffy"s

the broody / hatch season is officially over in my coop. Hatch #1 is 4 weeks old, hatch #2 is 3 weeks old and hatch #3 is 4 & 2 days old.

I have 4 that are 3.5 weeks old, little brats are everywhere hahaha poor Sophia is chasing after them now!

@Ponypoor, what camera do you use in your coop? Is it a live feed camera? Wireless?
Does anyone know of any good live (action? Feed? Web?) Cameras that are solar powered or battery powered?
But kind of cheap?
I'm gonna ask for those for my birthday next month probably. I've been wanting cameras in my coops.

If you get a BR roo and mix it with Raven, you will get Pastel or Splotch!
