I was out fixing my chicken netting, I was sitting on a step stool doing this when all of a sudden one of my school chicks hops up on my back as I was bent over doing the repair. He proceeded to settle himself down and snooze hahahaHaha! The thing with my chicks is that Storm and Tweety, the two courageous chicks are very flighty and adventurous, but in a good way. (for now) They love to fly up on my head when I feed them or give them water! And Storm is a real entertainer, everytime I come into the coop, he will start climbing the mesh (in the corner that seems to be a jungle gym for chicks
) and he will stay up there and squawk at the other chicks! I figured he must be saying, "Catch me if you can!"
Well to be fair, my school chicks had 10 out of the dozen hatch, and only 3 were Roos.Yep, I agree.
Why do most of the eggs have to be ROOS?!My fellow Storm wasn't even supposed to be in the batch of so-called pullets from ACE hardware, what next?
You need an app for the cameras to work. They are Peer-to-peer meaning they will sit dormant till a command to wake up- that’s were the app comes in. When you open the app and click on the camera it send a command over the net to start working. If your coop is close to the house get a wired camera. All you need to do is plug into the wall and the wireless router. Of course, this may be too much setup, in which case just get a wireless. I can't recommend any because I don't have any. My Dad wanted something that didn't need a app to work.
I PM'd you about camerasYou need an app for the cameras to work. They are Peer-to-peer meaning they will sit dormant till a command to wake up- that’s were the app comes in. When you open the app and click on the camera it send a command over the net to start working.
If you don’t want an app then get CCTV cameras that plug directly into a monitor. They do not go over the net.

i sawI PM'd you about camerasI was going to make a thread and had it all written out but my mom told me no. I wanted her to check it and make sure it was "appropriate " to honor my dads wishes lol.
I'll just send it to you if it saved so you know what I'm looking for
I understand your Dad doesn't want you starting a thread. Here are a few you could look through (I know there are many more):I PM'd you about camerasI was going to make a thread and had it all written out but my mom told me no. You could get refurbished Arlo cameras. I think one I have is refurbished, I could check, it's been working fine. They tend to be expensive new, and the type I want to have work through a base station connected to our internet (because our wireless is located on the other side of the house and too far for the cameras to reach by themselves).@Ponypoor, what camera do you use in your coop? Is it a live feed camera? Wireless?
Does anyone know of any good live (action? Feed? Web?) Cameras that are solar powered or battery powered?
But kind of cheap?
I'm gonna ask for those for my birthday next month probably. I've been wanting cameras in my coops.
The ones we have only need a browser to operate and use Ethernet. We got some Blink cameras but returned them due to the requirements of having to use a app to set them up. The camera I have just plugs into a router, PoE switch, or DVR and from there you can set them up using the browser or DVR.You need an app for the cameras to work.
