This looks like rosemary to me. My favorite herb.

Sheba remains well...or at least okay. She still stands and walks wrong... for lack of a better word.

And her eggs are all over the place. A week's worth doesn't really look like they're all from the same hen! Is this much day to day variation normal? This is six days in a row.View attachment 3599689

That is a lot of variation. Bernie’s vary as much as the bottom row of three I would say.
She is laying every day? So strange. And she looks well. I keep thinking broken pelvis or back or something like that.

The paste I was expecting was a premix of selenium and vitamin e. I received salt tablets. Our girl continues to improves with our current regimen so we'll carry on with that while waiting for the syringe of selenium. I purchased a supplement that contains the necessary selenium and vitamin e dosage and we are adding it to the daily rations for everyone.

Also any suggestions on what I should change about her setup, and I have the cage door closed as my other broody hen Susan keeps wanting to sit on her and Susan has a very big habit of going broody and either sitting on them so hard they brake or being so agressive with other hens she brakes her eggs so sadly no broody for Susan.

It seems fine my only concern is about dust bathing. Broody hens like to dust bathe every day when they come off the nest. Can she dust bathe in this set up?

One of my favorites too and it definitely isn't rosemary. I wish! But I agree it looks like it and when I first spotted it that is what I thought too.


I agree, that is not a normal stance or walk. I am less worried by the poop - the white is the urates which other animals pee out but in birds comes out together with the poop. I can't say it looks normal but it doesn't look wildly abnormal to me.
Her walk almost looks like there is something wrong with her back or pelvis. Remind me, is she laying eggs now or no?

Yes. All the eggs in the photo were hers from the last 6 days.

Oh my! I wonder if I should isolate either her or Manny (to keep him off her). I could use the small coop for just 1 bird. Hmm. She just started standing wrong one day, but hasn't ever really shown any other indication she is in pain or is ill. She's been like this over a month now! The egg things started a bit later.

I would think she couldn't walk if she had an active break - I was thinking more like something broke and healed in a non-aligned way.
It is probably a far-fetched idea - it is just the way she walks and the fact that she is fine otherwise - as in energetic, eating, pooping (as we saw!).
Is it possible she had some kind of injury and healed?

Hash, Mashed, Baked, Twice, Fried, Scallop, Yukon, Russet, Red, Purple, Sweet, Yam (last aren't truly potatoes, but the theme fits)....lots of options if a potato theme is decided upon. Alternatively: Stuffing, Pumpkin, Gravy, Green Bean, Pecan, Cranberry for a theme revolving around Butterball.... lots of options. Looking forward to @ChicoryBlue's formal introduction. I still have 2 needing names to, one of which I'm stumped on at the moment.

Middle: Cumulo and Nimbus. Brown: Cardhu. Left back: no ideas, yet. Back right: the lightning theme...still showing nothing but white.
