How is she feeling?
She’s not as perky as she was, but definitely there’s some spunk and interest in foraging with everybody and keeping Popcorn in her place. She had the opportunity to eat two worms and declined, that and blueberries are sort of my barometer for her. I’m going to feed her again, and see how she does tomorrow.
The red tube that came with the luer slip syringes is also not very good, it doesn’t go in entirely smoothly, and compared to the vet-supplied one that fits the new O-Ring syringe, it’s terrible. I examined it closely yesterday and see that the end is a molded-on cone-shaped cap, and there’s a tiny edge or seam between the cap and the tube that’s a sharp corner!!! I feel bad about it for Butters. She sometimes would really object part way in, and I’d remove it and wait and try to aim better, and I think this is why. The better tube glides in totally smoothly, one and done. Hopefully she’s been pleasantly surprised by the better tube now. I couldn’t use the better tube until I got a working syringe. The one from the vet the tube came with got too stiff. Now to look for more quality tubes. Where do you source yours? Squirrel man?

The ones I posted about I got on Amazon.

One tip is to lubricate the tube - I slathered mine in coconut oil even though it was very smooth straight out of the packet.

This was the bigger tube that I liked best (I think I mentioned that the bigger tube seemed less stressful for everyone concerned): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W0CGF0U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also got this - but the syringe wasn't an O-ring type so gave up working quite fast and the tube is much smaller - 14Fr in case the ones you have are marked - and I found it less easy to control.
