Take a look at this picture.

Now, for those of you who know me tell me what is wrong with it.
That is 4 days worth of eggs counting today. I already did the morning collection, this evening will go for round two and fill up the last carton and start on another one. This also does not include the other 9 dozen on top of my fridge. I have to meet a customer tonight and will deliver 6 dozen eggs. Pokes the Marshmallows. I love everything about you guys, except your color of eggs and you all are outlaying my brown egg girls. Fun fact. We got the marshmallows because grandma claimed she would eat their eggs if we got them. They started laying toward the end of May I think. 4, that is right 4. She has eaten 4 of their eggs.

My 5 littles with the DC mom:

And, yes, all 5 are in the top photo...there are 3 black ones all smooshed together - then the 'blonde' ne and the slightly older one with brown barring on it's wings.

The brown one (barred wings) is the one saved from the other momma.

Unfortunately, my husband was trying to save me from being upset and told me the older one of the two (the brown one above) was being chased and pecked by the young momma....what he didn't tell me was he couldn't find the other one at all...he at first thought it was under her because she was buk-buking...but I said to him 'if she was moving that fast charging and pecking the other chick, you would have seen her, too.....so, unfortunately, the other one that was put under her didn't make it. Even though we can't find the body, since it isn't with her nor obviously in the coop...it didn't make it. :(

However, again, DC mom tookl that one despite it being light and morning and having the others overnight - so that is good! And, while I'm sad the other one didn't make it, I really didn't want the momma raising just one chick. I feel like they really need at least 2 so they can run and fly and play together growing up...and have a companion when momma abandons them (the two hens are in different 'flocks' ... the White Rock was in the same flock as this Black Jersey Giant, but her chicks are now about ?12? or maybe 13 weeks old, so too much older to play and intermingle with per se.
I am so sorry the other chick didn't make it. :-(

What about the mama? She has no chick now. Is she doing OK? Is she the one that you really need to break?

Good luck today and hopefully tomorrow you won’t feel so miserable.

Can you pre-load your system with Tylenol so that you get ahead of any fever and body ache?

@knoturavggrl Thinking of you today, and especially through tomorrow, I hope for an easy path, but am sending you good thoughts to help buoy you through whatever comes :hugs :hugs
@knoturavggrl
You are in my thoughts today - hope the vaccine process goes well and that your body is more tolerant of it this time. If not, imagine me holding a cool compress to your fevered forehead when the reactions kick in later today/tomorrow. :hugs :hugs :hugs :fl :hugs :hugs :hugs
Thinking of you today.

Thank you everyone so much!!!

I took Tylenol as soon as I got home. I do feel a little icky but hopefully like last time it will be short lived. Most importantly I found out today that the treatment is working. Diameter is still the same but its not raised anymore flat like a scab instead.

Mind is blown that the flu vaccine is beating back Melanoma! I will take a couple of sick days for that for sure :)
