Ok then, I like him even more now. If he is that good looking at almost 5 months old he is only going to get better. Marans roo's grow until they are 18 to 22 months old. Again, coming from standard Marans, not sure about bantams. In the next 6 months he is going to go through a few more juvenile molts and his back and shoulder copper is going to get more uniform and richer in color. He is going to broaden, and get taller somewhat. After he completes his first adult molt at around 18 months old everything good about him that is now showing will have come together and he will be in his prime. In a way I wish you could have kept him. I am biased, I admit. Cover's Branch's ears for this. I feel a Black Copper Marans roo is one of the best looking roo's out there as far as eye candy goes.Thanks, his tail is usually really nice looking and I think It's just from him being crazy in his crate. He dust bathes alot which is half the reason for his beautiful feathers. Here is a photo of him about two weeks ago, he was born late March.
