The vet has the idea that the impaction/obstruction possibly created a wound or inflammation enough to cause the bloody pus poop, assuming it is hers (and I haven't seen any further poop like that yet anywhere). Going on that theory, Butters is in the process of healing from that. I have noticed tough food not well digested - corn or sunflower seeds - and we're speculating on the cause: related to the impaction injury theory, or something else(maybe she can't heal from).
I'm glad you got the vet to weigh in. This is definitely a curious case in some ways.

Happy Friday all!

I will be around only a little this weekend. Lots to do. I'll try and catch up next week.

I just love your dotty girls.
🥰
Thank you 😊 I am quite pleased with them all. Even the two Roos are working out so far (knock on wood). Today I noticed them hanging closer to the older girls so I think full integration is close especially once the girls start laying.
They sure do have a whole different personality then my original crew. Very mellow, not to keen on being picked up but otherwise very friendly. Like Hattie and Lady F, they are content to observe the world and peck about some. As long as lots of food is in their feeder they seem happy 😂
