Another slightly easier one. I liked this one so much I made it my profile picture. I took this one at noon. Aurora is a very patient and fashionable model. Her muffs and beard, oh my her beard, it is so fluffy!

Tell me, in the US is it some sort of offence to throw away any official document mailed to you requesting information that may lead to some jury duty? Oh not for me, a friend who chucked his, I wondered if there was some sort of offence to do so…?

Penalty for not taking the summons for jury duty selection is mandated by the individual (county) court judge, charging a possible contempt of court misdemeanor and Applicable fines.

I looked up the Campylobacter issue. Maybe others did too ?
The most interesting docs I found were in french. My understanding with my limited scientific background is that there is a strong concern for resistance development in Campylobacter Jujuni, the type that affect chickens, due to broiler ingesting antibiotics. It is a human health problem because eating sick chickens lead to enteritis and the resistant bacteria causes more serious symptoms, some long lasting like Guillain Barré syndrom. This does not concern enrofloxacin or fluoroquinolones specifically. I found a study that compared in European countries the percentage of resistant Campylobacter Jujuni to various type of antibiotics ; they vary greatly depending on the country and it's more intensive use of one type of antibiotics. In most of European countries enrofloxacin has actually a rather low issue regarding to Campylobacter resistance.
But I also came upon this Canadian document in french (it's probably in english somewhere as it's governmental) which mentions that resistance to fluoroquinolones in Saskatchewan and British Columbia has increased worryingly ; it is more about ciprofloxacin, but also mentions enrofloxacin stating explicitly that derogative use of Baytril for poultry is one of the cause. In a similar documents I saw vets were given instructions not to use it derogatively anymore.
I realize BC isn't that close to New York... but maybe similar causes led to similar effects.
So this could maybe explain the vet's excessive reaction, though it doesn't excuse it.

Sunday tax : See You, the stallion. After much human drama, it turns out old Gribouille will go live his last days with him ! Not a bad solution to a big conflict as See You’s owner already needs to do all the necessary care and check ups for her horse.
