And...that popcorn had a sell by date of April 2023. It was in a sealed bag but dang it even smells stale.

Good afternoon now! I am taking a break from fixing chicken fence - I am fed up chasing them back from my neighbour’s place. The chicken netting has hole fro the darn rabbits!

True chicken collaboration: Shanny was eating hotdogs from my hand, and would intentionally put pieces on the ground in front of Sir Jaffar, so he could eat some too. Very sweet gesture in my opinion.

Mugs Monday: Becky!
Who is super chatty, and single-handedly keeps me in eggs. She’s second to last in the adult’s pecking order, and wishes ill upon the pullets. She charges them constantly, although luckily won’t pursue for further than 4-5 feet. She is also the first of the flock to go boneless in a beam of sunlight

Lunch is delicious. Shrimp and fried rice with peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes.
I purposely bought the shrimp, (with the tails on), so I could give them to the chooks. That and the rice, was a big hit with them.

You're not kidding. Aurora was appalled by its unkempt state. Even when molting hers is not that messy!
