It’s a very dark night. No lights on and it’s black as pitch. Suddenly I felt a creature creeping up on my blankets towards my head. I usually keep my bedroom door open to hear the birds next door. This time BoPeeps braved the darkness and wanted to scare the 💩 out of me. Well, it worked! I love the little lady, but I draw the line at sleeping with hens.
Hahaha - Bopo is such a sweetie pie 😊

She likely wanted some protection from scary things ❤️

My silkies are darn good layers, when they aren’t broody they lay most days. But they sure are noisy about it!!! 😁

Right Fluffy!

I will say Chiquita was a very reliable layer. Better then many of the big girls in fact. She only went broody twice on me. When she was not broody 5 eggs a week. I really miss her perfect sandwich size eggs.

Soon you will have Poppet laying lovely eggs for you 😊💕

And every time I spell out a word with a Z, I say "Z, or zed for the Canadians out there".
Yes, I am aware that other countries besides Canada use Zed not Zee.

And colour 😊 behaviour, and other words ending with ‘or’ we use ‘our’.

One of those little gems of cultural language differences 💕

Tina made me fall this morning so she had to remain out the back for a couple of hours while I cleaned myself up and tried too heal a little but she was in the grass for a good few hours today.
It was cold but we had a little sun with no rain thankfully

I'm really exhausted, so after making her eat wet layers and cleaning her legs and feet she had to go into the coop. I've just given her more turkey leg meat and I'm pooped.

I just wish she would eat wet food on her own, this is worrying me
