When the wool socks are hand made (commercial socks in my size ALL have polyester in them), darning becomes a worthwhile task....until you're darning the area around the darn. Then they get retired to hair curlers or rice bag heating pads. I will agree, though, darning is a pain!

Ah - so you understand that my thankfulness for the supply of all wool socks is heartfelt and not some trivial jokey comment.
I have found a store in Canada that has all wool socks and will ship to the US. I won’t buy socks with polyester and am horrified that socks presented as wool socks are sometimes only 30% wool!
I haven’t bought any from them yet, and they aren’t cheap, but I was thinking of getting a pair to try.

I just broke all the rules of good chicken nutrition by giving my Princesses a bowl of dried up pizza crusts that I soaked overnight in milk to soften them up.
To make it look less bad I sprinkled some Kale in the top.
These ladies never fail to surprise me. It turns out Piglet loves Kale and ate all the topping before running off with a big leaf to enjoy in peace and quiet.
Babs and Tassels on the other hand were not going to be fobbed off with any greens and burrowed under so they could get up to their earlobes in milky carbohydrate goodness.
Everyone is making lovely happy sounds all around me.
🥰

Pizza crust tax: Pooh looking nice and fluffy but not showing any interest in laying an egg.

Have never tried the chooks with milk, they can take or leave yogurt, but do like cheese.

Fluffy butts from the past
