What does it feel like first thing in the morning before she gets off the roost? Her crop felt like this yesterday. I brushed it off thinking, "She's huge. No big deal". It has gotten bigger and feels like a giant fat squishy liquid ball. Her breath smells like stinky feed.
Mosquitoes and black flies?I'm not a fan either. Why do I live in Michigan...? inertia, maybe.
Nah, really, I can put up with what Michigan throws at us for 3-4 months of the year, to get what she hands to us the other 8-9 months.

I am so excited to see what her new feathers bring her. I'm glad they are coming in fast as it was only 20°F (-6.7°C) this morning.
