All of my adult hens are laying except Willow. Eli started laying, Bolt is laying again, and Splotch and BBQ are still lying.


OMG! I didn’t tell you guys that Bilt started laying! She laid her first egg since the beginning of August two weeks ago.

I really hope she is! She isn’t a huge fan of me, but I gave her cuddles this morning and she was being really sweet. Pip and Squeak are adorable. Pip used to sit on your shoulder, right?

Yes, that's Pippy. She and Sunny are my Lap Girls. The other three pullets will sit beside me. Usually if I touch them (I always stroke their side/wing very lightly), they move away.

Sunny and Pip will settle down and let me stroke their backs.

That’s so sweet! Ruby is really obsessed with me. I was holding Opal today and she tried to fly up onto my back. She missed, but she got some cuddles, much to her delight.
Bolt enjoys my company. She attacks my foot, and I’m hoping she does it for attention.

I bought eight new hens. They will be here March 12-14. Any guesses on what they are? Think of the chicken Queen Aurora wanted to flip.

I am assuming all my pullets are now laying, hope to figure out who is laying this coming long 4 day weekend.

That is a very lovely selection of eggs you have. I really love the top row's colors. This coming from me, who strives for dark brown eggs, the darker the better. Rosie saw them as well, her favorite is the middle one in the middle row. She pointed and was "THIS.....Owly needs to lay THAT color!" I reminded her that until this point she and sis both were saying she had to lay blue and that is obviously a green egg. Well, sis can get over the blue egg she wants green now. Poor Owly, little girl lay pink for me. A Blue or Green egg will not be required to make me happy, being you makes me happy.
