Storm is stunning. I remember her brooding chicks. Didn’t you also have a hen named Jessica brood eggs/chicks around the same time as Storm?

Whiskey sounds like a lovely boy, and I suppose I’ll let you keep him He’s just so stunning!

Jessica sat for 6 weeks. I finally moved her to the roost. I am wanting a Whiskey son at some point. Curious to see what sort of feather pattern I wind up with.

Not likely to ever be out west again

Who says it has to be for work? Vacation to Yellowstone Park with a personal tour guide (me).

I love bays. Put 4 white feet and a blaze on a bright bay and that there is some eye candy. Truthfully though there is no bad color on a good horse. My least favorite color is chestnut. I've stated it multiple times, the world knows it. Best horse we have is Russ a gleaming copper red, so is life. To me the perfect color is a buckskin, I love them. My 2nd favorite is a nice dapple grey with a black mane and tail. Sadly though with the greying process they are only my ideal color for a few years before they turn white.

Do I gather from this that horses don’t wash their own socks?

Yes

The runs are side by side, so the can see each other so long as they're outdoors.

I suppose this is all being colored by the fact I never wanted a rooster to begin with...

It’s hard when you’re trying to figure things out, sometimes all you can do is try different things to see what works.

Also if your not keen with having a Roo I would rehome him. At least that will give you some measure of reassurance.

Samara almost came up to get snacks from me today! Then Ash shook her head and managed to toss a piece of bread right to her haha.

Nails - nice! Wish I could have nails but nope too dangerous with the horses - I kept tearing mine off (real nails to boot!) ouch and they bleed like crazy…

My chooks have my cat in their crosshairs haha

A really small egg, so it must have been a pullet.
I've noticed that Duskfeather and Nightfeather have been squatting a lot (For me, Stormfeather and Ijak) these days and have been jumping in and out of the nest boxes (even though it was on the floor ). None of the other pullets were doing it that much.
