It’s likely it was a compartmentalized infection, this is good news!Well I am feeling optimistic.
She had this big lump on her foot. Nobody could figure it out. Maybe cancer, maybe an abscess.
They aspirated some cells and that suggested infection rather than cancer but was not fully definitive.
So we said 6 weeks of antibiotics and me massaging the foot - like trying to break up a blocked chicken crop. Not so easy on a cat who doesn't want her paw touched and has claws that are very, very sharp (first hand experience on that!).
Then she was scheduled for surgery when I am back in January to cut whatever it was out.
I wasn't optimistic as she already had a course of antibiotics for it and it made no difference.
Well on week 5 of the 6 weeks I go to massage her foot and I can't find the lump. Just some little scabby bits.
I am to keep the appointment in January, but if it hasn't returned than no surgery.
Fingers definitely crossed on that one!
Be a good kitty and let me squeeze your paw please tax:
Everybody except one Buckeye piled in the nestbox to start the roost off the other night. Yes there’s a Spud between the one looking around and the Buckeye against the back. Don’t know how they managed that! Checking in later one Spud had moved to perch on the divider. If I checked some hours later it would probably be different again.
