Well hello Marie - how is Princess today? You’re up late tonight, can’t sleep?

Hope your weather is good - it’s been extremely mild here and I am very happy for that.
It's all rain and wind here. Poor princess is in the run on her perch . I got her food to her but I dare not keep going outside.

I woke up coughing and my nose was streaming. I felt for my neighbour because he was woken up as we have no sound proofing.

He has changed dramatically lately, he was about to call to check if I was okay as I called him to appoligise.

We had a man threatening our lovely neighbours last night, he's been harassing them for sixteen years.
It's got to the point that they are thinking of selling their loved home to get away from him.

I wish the police would find a way of removing him from our area. We really don't want to lose this lovely couple.

How did you sleep last night?

We would love to have another golden retriever but the Vet costs are just too much. Vaccines alone are crazy expensive, I know my horse vet is more than willing to vax he does my cats, but my vet won’t be around forever - he is already semi retired. And the cost of feed is stupid expensive! The cat alone is about $30 for a small bag of dried food and those small cans are over $2. Thankfully she doesn’t eat too much.

Happily the chooks are paying for their keep, let’s not talk about the horses 🤨
My cat loves a bit of scrambled egg in his food and get a mix of meats and vegetables from my table. He likes cabbage especially

Painful chest is concerning. Check for Covid after a couple of days and get treatment if you can, it really helps. Whatever it is I hope you feel better soon! :hugs
This is a wretched cold that has got onto my chest. I've been drinking ginger cloves turmeric and pepper tea with honey and lemon. Herbal tea and honey and this morning I had black tea and honey. Plus a couple of teaspoons of honey in-between

I can smell and taste, so it's not covid.

Pusscat is keeping his paws crossed that this wind and rain will stop

A Christmas Miracle

Because we are celebrating the holidays with are children I won't be on much. However I just had to share this Christmas miracle with everyone.

While I was prepping the coop for an extended lock up period, I found this!

And they are.....

BLUE

Glynda started laying during the shortest days of the year and the blue spray paint dispenser is full again!

I had no idea. Why would I be checking for eggs at the winter solstice? What a wonderful surprise. She had a nice break in the fall so no worries despite the fact that it feels soon.

How about a cat instead to start with. Dogs can be quite a handful if you’ve never had one before. They are like kids and need both love and Discipline unequal measure. Cats are more easy to handle a they tend to be indifferent to any sort of formal training. But they can be very loveable and social.
Yes. I know dogs are a lot of work. Maybe I will get one when I retire...

So happy for you! Those are beautiful eggs. Glad she was able to top up the paint can.
:love

Start with a cat - like a gateway drug - you can have a cat and work - they kinda like it when they have the place to themselves. Mine were initially quite grumpy when I was home all day because of Covid restrictions.
Now they get grumpy if I leave the house.
I adore my cats - but it is not all sweetness - last night I barely got any sleep because of an epic battle between two cats and a flying squirrel that had got into the house.
It started at midnight and at about 6am I finally managed to get the little guy to go outside.
I will need a nap later.
