Yes and at this time $300 is not an option 🥲

Used to be you could take your pets to a Vet and not go into debt, and they would give good care.
It's miles away to get to a decentish vet here. They want around £80 just to see them and god knows how much for their treatments.

I was told by people that has owned chickens for many years, that they had devastating results after huge costs and I've been recommended too search for my own solutions. Just my take on it all.

In saying all of the above, a lady at the chickens rescue, thinks there's a vet about four bus rides away that could possibly help... I don't know as I haven't had need to go there with my robust Princess. She is beating all the odds for some wonderful reason

You have knowledge and many things to try besides vets and drugs. If anyone could succeed you will. :hugs
I will be bringing her to the Vet today, she is lingering and I don’t have the ability to do any true surgical measures.

The vet I use has her own flock and grew up a farm girl, she deals with poultry and exotic birds. Cost is a factor but as Petunia is my responsibility I need to ensure she is cared for 😟

Hopefully a bit of oxytocin can get her moving along with the egg.

EDIT: appointment for 11am.

Yes cost is a huge factor with me also, if nothing can be done for her I will have her euthanized though, I will not let her suffer.

Being old and all like Red is one thing, but Petunia is only about 10 months old I am hoping if she can clear this she can clean out her system - I will keep her on calcium - I would hope she could go broody at some point….

She could try that Epsom salt bath and oils Bob, it's worked countless times for my girls.
Yes I gave her a nice warm bath last night, she was not a fan of the blow drier! I am about to try the bath again. And keep her in a warm dark cage in hopes she will lay an egg for me.
