Also, that neighbor is not above doing something even more awful when they find out you’ve “taken care of” their rooster.

You know I use greenhouse frames with aviary netting over them, extending down to the ground. That’s the chicken’s area. Easy to move around, tie up netting, etc. Then I have electric poultry netting around further out. These could take care of keeping both this rooster, other pullets and the stray cats out of your yard.

Long term though, it would be great if you could find a better place and move. That has many more variables though.
Or without the poultry netting, you could attach the aviary netting coming off a high area like your coop building, over to your fence, if it’s sturdy enough. That would keep the rooster out if he’s going over the fence.

Yes. This.
You have other land. Build a house, or sell those and buy somewhere completely different. You need to live in a better neighborhood.
Is there somewhere that is close enough you can keep your Church community?

How do I get him to take deep breaths? :idunno

I'm guessing here that your normal but quiet things is good. No bright lights that would stimulate eye movements that could be painful. Steady warmth & the usual things he would expect there with you so he can relax. Except those war movies he likes! Probably not good for him right now. Let him sleep if he can.
No bright lights, that hurts him. I try not to get him wet, and most importantly, I never feed him after midnight.

I am freezing some eggs in ice cube trays, after beating 14 together I decided to add a little salt though I read that's only necessary if freezing just yolks. 14 eggs fit into 18 cubes in the trays.

Today they wouldn't come out with twisting, they give a bit, so had to use hot water on the back. Although I was sparing with the hot water, it made them a little goopy on the outside, and more to clean with the trays, and bag I put them in goopy too. Suggestions?
