I’m not allowed any roosters at all in the city, and a max of eight hens total. So… them being boys just decreases their chances of a long life.
I’ll euthanize them, like I did Coach. I used a new method- baking soda and vinegar- if anyone is morbidly curious. I tried for about a week to find him a new home, even one that would let him live to adulthood before making him a table bird, but no takers. And I don’t have it in me right now to raise to adulthood and then cull without getting attached.
That’s what I HOPE, but chick 2 still has more wattles than I expect out of a female. Then again I’ve never raised BCM babies.
The problem is the architecture is all different out East. Not really built for wobbles like it is on the West coast. So many brick buildings- death traps the whole lot!
