I miss my screaming harpies. Ha'Penny will never be a lap chicken but she has calmed down a lot.I so hope that happens for you. They would be amazingly feral. So much fun.

My experience: depends upon the hen. If she's determined, then most definitely yes...and even longer. If she doesn't have eggs (or has something to sit on) and sits for the 21 days, easy to break just by putting on roost and removing eggs (or substitutes). If she's DETERMINED THANK YOU VERY MUCH, then breaking at 21 days won't work.Polish are #1
The polish eggs are here. They are in a container point down. There are actually 7 eggs and no easily visible cracks.

The Orpington eggs are not here yet.
We are at a week of them being broody already. @RebeccaBoyd @rural mouse do I need to worry about the ladies giving up on the hatch before they are done? Will they sit for 28 days?
Today is my birthday so to hold you over until I get a funny birthday photo from Grandma, here is a photo of Mozzarella plucking the life out of that plant.

It’s wonderful to have that photo of them all togetherHere's photos. As always, Grandma gobbled up that cake and what made me annoyed but laugh was Mozzarella stepping on the cake, so now her feet have frosting... it's gone now.
If you know me, you know that when it comes to sweets and chickens, I do this in moderation. Not too much and not too often.

The only thing these three can get their focus on is that gosh darn cantaloupe. I forgot the name of this fruit and almost called it "orange melon..."
