Disaster...I didn't notice earlier but kiddo put the incubator all the way hot. It is 109 degrees F and has been for nearly 7 hours...are they cooked? Dangit I wish I had caught it earlier. :hitmaybe I'll get lucky
Oh no, so sorry, but temperatures like that can kill embryos in a matter of minutes. For 7 hours? Those eggs might not be alive anymore. 🙁

Cross your fingers and hope for the best. Might be a good idea to put up on a higher location.

Kids, always into something. What I did was escape and go down the elevator to the ground floor were some biker found me 😳 I was 18 months old… what a brat eh?!

Although I think you should keep them incubating. There might be a chance that some survived.
Yep

It’s an older bator so temps likely not all that steady I bet. I say stay the course and lock the system away from little Einsteins 😊 she will be an engineer one day I bet 😊

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm honestly trying to not cry while fiddling with this dang temperature knob. On the plus side...there are 8 still happily tucked under my silkie broodies. And I'll make a little mark where the knob is supposed to stay in case it gets bumped again. I temped all the eggs, they're sitting between 106F and 111F. :(

If they do die I'll have to figure out a way to tell kiddo so she doesn't do it again but she isn't devastated. I know I would have been even as a 3 year old if I accidentally killed eggs...
