Another day of drama. I have an employee who is great at his job but argues against me for no particular reason. Maybe he feels privileged? I didn’t hire him because he had privilege, but for his talent on the job. Hard to imagine someone who acts like a child and still wants to work in an adult environment. I’m at a loss for what to do with him. I could easily just terminate his employment, but I’d rather find a way to change his mind set and keep him working for me.

Most of the fires closest to me were lightning strikes. I read yesterday that oregon has more fires burning than CA, WA, and Idaho combined. Most are "small" but some are in the 1000s of acre range and one area has so many small ones that it is almost like one massive fire.
Babies have grown so much!

I'm so sorry to hear about the fires! It can be scary! Once there was a fire right down the hill from us and I could not sleep for some nights they were going to have us leave our home!

Hi! This is my first story so sorry if I do something wrong...





Yesterday I went out to my hens to bring them some treats, when I saw a Cicada, I knew my chickens would love that way more then the corn I brought so I put it down, grabed a broom and had a ten minute war with it! (It would not die!) After I finally won, I picked it up (Ew! I know!) Got my chickens in there run, and threw the Cicada, wich started the first ever Cicada ball tournament. My hen Peaches (picture bellow) took it and ran like a chicken without a head around in circles. Peaches than swalloed the Cicada hole and my other hen Snooze grabed the wing and almost pulled it out. So, I guess I need to find more Cicadas for them. Haha!
