Umpteenth week in a row of wood hauling. Forest Service has been out....and got reamed by locals for cutting so much..

So you get the wood the Forest Service cuts for free? (I mean, for the work of hauling it)? Or is that your wood to begin with, and they're felling it to keep the fire load down?

I'm told potatoes aren't so good for us, but i just love them and hope my pot of potatoes turn out OK.

Potatoes are not an unhealthy food, in and of themselves. It's all the stuff we load them up with, especially fats and salt. They soak up fats like a sponge, and there are good and bad choices when it comes to fats.

Potatoes are high in potassium - they have more then a banana.

Variety is the spice of life as they say Eat a variety of foods to get those valuable nutrients.

You have to get a permit to cut wood, but it's on public land. Since covid, the permits are free. Used to be $20 and allowed you to get up to 8 cords.

Usually it's can only take dead trees. When they cut stuff, then anything cut. They're going to burn those once winter hits.
