Well, the appointment with an emergency vet didn't turn much up. Nothing they can rule out or diagnose without blood tests, which would have cost $500. It was $170 just for the examination itself. The doctor who examined him found a heart murmur and saw how bad his teeth are, but I can't afford the antibiotics and pain meds she wanted to prescribe, either. My poor old boy threw up his breakfast with some blood in it just a bit ago. So I called the vet and they'll get back to me with appointment times. I love him so much but I just know I'm going to have to let him go soon. We don't have money for any sort of procedure or ongoing treatments. I just hope it's not something that I'll have to decide at the appointment. I need more time with my big sweet cuddlebug

I am willing to pray for the healing of your petWell, the appointment with an emergency vet didn't turn much up. Nothing they can rule out or diagnose without blood tests, which would have cost $500. So he's back home and I just need to do what I've been doing— caring for him as best I can, and keeping an eye on him. No more dry food because he can't chew without severe pain. I know what that's like, I had a wisdom tooth with a huge hole in it, nerve exposed, for a couple years. Worst pain of my life. Breaks my heart that my cat is experiencing that and there's nothing I can do except have him euthanized when it becomes too much for him.
But for now he's eating, drinking, and acting (mostly) like normal. I'm not really religious but I know many of you are. Prayers for my little buddy would be appreciated![]()

Well, I think if he stood on one foot it would be worse.“You can look at me all you like, even take my picture.
But if you try catching me again, I will mangle your other thumb like I did before!”View attachment 3977529
