Correct me if I'm wrong, but with cuckoos, I had read the red comb is a cuckoo trait due to the barring, especially with males. I think our female had a red comb too, kind of pink rather.

I could have been led totally off track though.
I was thinking the same thing that cuckoo barring crossbreeding passes on the red comb. I'm going to look up comb colors for Silkies. I believe European standards accept "mulberry" combs which is a dark wine color but pure "red" is not acceptable. Not sure but I believe it's the same SOP in USA too.

Mr Wyandottey doesn’t like his feet touched.
Dakota hates having her back petted. In front is okay but not her back. The rest are mellow when it comes to petting and if treats are involved, they are even more friendly
