Any chance you'll get attached to the chicks? I found the more Silkies we have the less likely they get picked on & always we find at least 2 of them taking turns toodling together. & they take turns giving us eggs all seasons of the year. Broody? After 14 yrs of having Silkies its 2nd nature for us handling that. We get into a rhythm w/the birds to where its just a natural part of the day's chores.
Well…. I first read that as “any chance you’ll get attacked by the chicks”…..

Wait.. what?

Oh attached hahaha.

I am going on the assumption they are both Roos, I am too stressed with rehoming Roos. I don’t want to get attached and then have to rehome them. I have purposely not been handling them.

With my silkies I don’t find them being picked on, they hang around with Mr P and the older hens who are my original hens. The younger ones steer clear of them!

I fact the silkies and older ones are the ones who control access to the feed and treats. Sneaky ladies 😉
