Sorry to say, I have ear infections, sore throat, headaches, chills, fever 🤒 and body aches all over. Other than that, I’m good! Chooks are fine
:hugs:hugs
I cannot count the people that has come down and still are coming down with flu's and viruses. All started coming about since late December.

Keep your chin up lad. Drink as much fluids as you possibly can and make sure you're eating plenty of good foods with vitamins zinc d3 and magnesium.

My Dakota has decided that she will help me get better. She’s really good company for a Rhode Island Red hen.

I think they are a ready as they can be for the cold. It's been snowing here since 8:00 am.

Started here around noon. Have a couple of inches and it is forecast to go on most of the night. I have shut the ladies in and turned on the warming station, so if I can’t make it out to them tomorrow they are all set.
It is quite cold now and temperature dropping quite fast.
I have a doctors appt tomorrow morning. Hopefully the roads will be ploughed by then.

Your interior decorating is outstanding, RC!

Have you ever had the slightest condensation in the Palace? It’s so large, so much air space, for how few chickens are in residence now. Add a cow or two, a few goats, different story.
Oh no never. I was worried about the umbrellas maybe trapping moisture. Hopefully all will be OK. I like the look of them hanging there so I will probably leave them up until summer.
Well also, I don’t know how to get them down. Would need to train a chicken to fly up and unhook them!

Be safe! And enjoy your luncheon 😊
Made it back safely though it wasn’t the nicest of driving conditions and some guy shot through a red light just as I was approaching the intersection. I think maybe his brakes failed because he was blaring his horn to warn me!
Three ladies (thankfully including Calypso) ate roosting under the umbrellas and by the panel heaters.
Piglet wants nothing to do with them so is roosting on her own, and Sylvie has gone back to a nest box.
