They would agree with that.Good blood lines
I'm sure Gaby would tell you she's so heavy her perching on your arm has the risk to draw blood from you.

Beautiful bird... but NOT in our yard! TG for our neighborhood Crows that chase off intruding hawks, egrets, water fowl!Never doubt the abilities of hawks. Here’s an interesting observation on the smarts of a Coopers Hawk adapting to the urban environment in New Jersey, using crosswalk sound cues and the line of cars as cover to hunt a certain spot across the street.

Please tell me my eyes are just tired and my sweet baby Posy isn't getting brown shoulders and a rooster tail...
Been fighting a migraine and hubby said he didn't see any red feathers and boys have red feathers...
When I opened the coop this morning, I found Blanche had passed. She had been up on the roost last night. She had been a little off for a bit, then perked up, then gone. Also reproduction issues: soft shell here and there. She would have been 4 end of the month, along with Cheetah, Nellie, and PITA.

Oh dear. Nature is cruel.I was going to post later today, unfortunately something got at the nest and they are gone. Maybe a coon or maybe Jays - they take babies.
So I have the empty nest syndrome now

Is that the tent? That is what I used as a broider last time too.View attachment 4130604
Dream is starting to get a head poof. :3 she's so cute. These girls do not want to be played with, but I know Leghorns are flighty.
Cleaned the baby brooder today. They're 2 weeks old! View attachment 4130613
Owl judging me for daring to give them thicker shavings this time. Tempted to write an article on this style brooder, it's so easy to clean and the chicks are so happy in here.
Lovely pictures, but even I know it’s not Monday.Mugs Monday.
