That is so wonderful. She is such a great mum. They will be better for listening to her. Freedom will come soon enough.

It is interesting to note how the other hens allow the littles to eat from their bowl. This does not happen at my place. But I have never had my alpha hen hatch and raise young.

There is some pecking involved but not much and if it gets too animated Tassels sees off the offender.
I didn’t get my camera out in time but Cookie actually ate from in between Piglet’s legs. Piglet seemed chill about the whole thing and just kept eating.

They are so cute, but not real chickens. Unless HRH Aurora decrees otherwise!

She's been gracious so far... there are too many of us addicted to Silkies. If she didn't approve them as chickens 1/2 of us would be banned on here

In years past I flew occasionally in small craft as a passenger in the Caribbean. They’d load us in, then load in crate after crate of liquor, usually Angostura Bitters. I often tried to calculate how many people that equaled, it was worrying!

Let's head to therapy this morning. I dread it today. Weight restrictions have been lifted from the therapists. Now they can really torture me.

It's so nice to know someone else who knows what torture it is... every visit he comes up w/ a new maneuver on me requiring an ice pack afterwards!!!

It has been a few days so here's a photo. I haven't gotten any photos today. I'm thinking the older chickens are getting along with the younger chickens. It doesn't seem like they are attacking them anymore.

I have been astonished and delighted at the range of calls Tassels uses with the Littles and how many of them I now also understand!
