Are Polish good flyers? Will they stay behind a barrier/fence?
Polish are amazing fliers. They can take off straight up into the air like a helicopter and fly long distances. Check out the wing to body ratio on Niamh. Their wings extend beyond the length of the body.

They are built like leghorns with head poofs. Niamh weighs about 3 lbs.

Silkies were our easiest breed to integrate one at a time... as long as there was another Silkie already. They would toodle together... not really bosom buddies... but always together. Later we started getting them in pairs or trios... easy to get here cuz Silkies are so popular. I imagine gentle Polish will toodle w/ each other fairly well too since they are still similar in age.

We never imagined our Dominique would live to 8 yrs so she's the odd-ball large chicken amid 5 Silkies but she is so good w/them we just HAD to keep her. The old dear layed 2 eggs for us last month 💕

What a crazy life she must have surrounded by silkies. Imagine what she will tell her old flock mates when she meets up with them again.

Three pounds? I have a dietitian that might be able to assist. :gig

Today is the day I dread. I have all my high altitude oxygen equipment checked and little Marie’s engine components certified. Basically a standard FAA safety checklist, and she’s getting older (aren’t we all) but like any vehicle, it’s much better to be safe than sorry. I’m also going to be asking if I can retrofit a new combustion system for higher altitude flights. (Thinner air up there) my Marie struggles at 9K ft.

So I take it this is the neighbour who has made herself at home. Pretty hen ♥️

I'm so sorry but keep the baited trap in use & don't move its location around & leave the droppings trail untouched. All it takes is one smelly droppings rat to get caught & others will follow later if there's more than one rat around that you don't know of. DH picks up our rat cage to dispose of the rat body, re-baits it & puts it back in the same location exactly each time.

I suppose 1000 lb horse can go wherever they want?
My X wife did! 😂

I never see droppings in there. In the morning I check for those but don’t see any. I leave the trap there, it’s a good location.

Yep 1000lb of brat. No more open door for her. Although to be fair, she is pretty good being loose, she does her business in the stall before coming out in the alleyway. Only thing is she pesters poor Reenie.

I never leave her door open when the chooks are inside though. I do not trust her.
