Official Squatch Watchers

I don't ask what they want roosters for, unless it is a favorite then i sell that roo with some hens. Just glad to have them off my feed bill. I only have 3 cockerels now so no issues unless i get chicks:oops:
I can’t bring myself to cull and don’t want to send them to that fate. If they were horrible roosters that would be one thing.
I know it’s part of having chickens and no judgments for those who can do it. It’s just not in me. I’m a big softy and I know it.

I did get 2 eggs today! Another on the floor but that makes 3...for the year. :barnie Silly girls.

Warn him that he better talk chicken or he will be ignored.

hmmmmm DW went through 27 hours of labor with DS and I got to answer the phone when radiology called back. Was a really crazy night and a different story. Radiologist promptly reported NFW that that head could get through that canal.

Latex has no protection from the knife. I've cut my gloves dozens of times without drawing blood.
Your supposed too cut the chicken not yourself silly

:bun:bun i planted a peach tree and a plum tree today! I was amazed i was able to dig down that far.
DH and i went for a walk along the river and back up to the hoop coop. There are piles of rocks i can use to build a wall along the driveway where there is an ugly bank of bare earth. Hubby expects me to put in a concrete footer so that is going to be a major job!
And we saw an interesting piece of wood. I want to put it somewhere i can enjoy looking at it.

I just noticed one of the chicks has a hook beak is this a problem?

It can become a problem. If it interferes with the ability of the bird to eat on its own it can be a huge problem.

I have a cross beaked Orpington. I check her crop each evening and weigh her regularly.
She cannot pick up pellets or scratch so I make certain there is wet mash every morning. They tend to scoop the mash.

Can you post a pic? My girls isn't to bad......yet.
