What a pain in the taters

I can’t bring myself to cull and don’t want to send them to that fate. If they were horrible roosters that would be one thing.
I know it’s part of having chickens and no judgments for those who can do it. It’s just not in me. I’m a big softy and I know it.

I did get 2 eggs today! Another on the floor but that makes 3...for the year. :barnie Silly girls.
It's only hard the first time after that it's just a process

My DH just told me that he is going to join BYC so that way he can have a conversation with me that I will actually pay attention to. :lau

Warn him that he better talk chicken or he will be ignored.

OMG these answers are SOP for me!! :lau

Up until a few weeks ago, I used to joke that the PIC was a tumor, since he was surgically removed (c-section)..... and then I read where someone posted how women who have had c-sections aren't really moms because they didn't *give birth*....

......... these are the people we share our air with Squatchers.... no joke.....

hmmmmm DW went through 27 hours of labor with DS and I got to answer the phone when radiology called back. Was a really crazy night and a different story. Radiologist promptly reported NFW that that head could get through that canal.

I just use latex gloves

Latex has no protection from the knife. I've cut my gloves dozens of times without drawing blood.

I am a big softy too!!

Another gorgeous day, even better than yesterday. Everyone was out at the refuge looking at the Sandhill Cranes when I drove by. Son and I took a hike behind our house. There is an area on the mountain that was covered by the ocean at one point. We saw fossils and the ground is very soft and mushy, so strange. I made 2 sets of perches for the chickens and finished up the coop.
I need to be straightening up the house before hubby gets home! And go fill up the car, go to the grocery store and cook supper. Instead, I sit in the run with the chickens and talk to my chicken friends I have never met.
