Official Squatch Watchers

Whoa. This is SO COOL (for me. First timer, don't roll your eyes!)

But I just caught my lil Brahma bantam, Deila, in the act of laying an egg! I never saw that before.

Here it is, freshly laid...

She was in her nest box, and I heard this weird little hissing/squirting sound. Then she got off and left, and there it was! A freshly laid, warm egg! It was still partially wet, I could see the bloom (what I guess was the bloom) drying as I held it.

It was like a tiny little miracle! I'm silly, but I always thank my birds for their eggs. :)

Braggart. I bet he even puts the toilet seat down. If you tell me he manages to not pee all over the toilet & floor I'm going to believe that you're making it all up.

Nah, he's a dude, he leaves it up. I know I'm lucky, because I like a clean house but hate to clean (I mean HATE IT). If I was single I would legit hire a cleaning lady and it would be money well spent.

He is a clean freak (I'm a slob) and he is a bit OCD. (I told you guys about his crazy hand -rubbing-under-the-table ritual he used to do at restaurants back when we first met). So he does it because, well, he has to, lol.

I'm surprised he doesn't start twitching ( gave him his eye twitch tic lol!) when he comes in and sees a chicken in the house, lol.

Chicken in the house alert!

Nothin' sadder than a Silkie after getting her first foot bath, lol. Those pontoons were looking REALLL sorry, black, and gross (and this was after vigorous scrubbing, lol. Never claimed to be a chicken groomer).

Hubby came home early and busted the taters outta me. "WHY IS THERE A CHICKEN IN THE KITCHEN?" (a dumber question never asked).

It's all good. He knows she's my Therapy Chicken, lol! :)
So stinkin cute

Did you NOT notice the cat on mah bewbs?!?!?!? EAT SOME MEAT woman... you need the protein for some brain cells!!! :gig

Yeah, duh, I saw the cat. :)

But....I mean....your hair!

(and I eat a TON of eggs. That's my protein. Pickled, boiled, over medium. Whatever. Who needs meat?!)

I'll take a big ol' KitchenAid mixer if anyone is passing them out! Or a house. Or a new car. Or a pallet of chicken feed. Your choice.
I need a mixer thing too!

Congrats!
It's is perfect!

Hahahahaha, I just found this picture of me in Puerto Rico, covered with pigeons (hubby and I got married there just the two of us, like 3 or 4 years ago). There's this square where there are literally thousands of pigeons, I think it's called Pigeon Plaza, or something like that. This was way before the Chicken Mania began....

ETA: I just looked it up, it is Pigeon Plaza. Or Plaza de Armas, in San Juan.

My hubby is terrified of birds, and I made him go in the plaza, and I got a great picture of him looking horrified/disgusted with pigeons on him, lolol. I wish I could find it!

He's a good egg (no pun intended) putting up with this chicken addiction considering his bird phobia, lol!!!!
