Good morning everyone. Unfortunately, last night wasn't a very peaceful night. We went to sleep with the windows open and were awakened at 2am a mega gust of wind that was blowing rain through the window and was whipping our curtains about. The front door, which I had forgotten to lock when I came back from my parents, was blown open and a big wheel that was given to the MD as a present had blown into the poultry netting. I don't know what other damage was done last night. I just woke up a few minutes ago. It took me a little while to get back to sleep and the MD wanted a few middle of the night feedings, as per usual. I feel like I need to sleep for a few more hours, but I've got to get on the computer and work.

Good morning, Squatchers! Thanks for the breakfast, Anansi, 21, Sam, and Molpet!:cool: I'm just gonna have some coffee for now, lots of coffee to clear those Ambien cobwebs outta my head. :caf Maybe later I'll have a couple slices of cantaloupe and nectarines, and a strawberry or two.

Would anyone like a Sriracha pickled egg? They are quite delicious, and fill you up for not very many calories. They go with just about anything, but especially dark beer. I'm not gonna put them out until somebody asks for one, because the entire room will reek of farts, bad. They will clear a room.

My girls have been laying better this week. I got 11 yesterday so looks like they will keep it up.......finally.

Weird thing with pickled eggs........they turn a brilliant yellow.
I thought it was neat. I dropped a few in a jar of garlic pickle juice when I took the last pickle out.
Kinda cool.......I wonder about the science behind the color change.......

Ugh. Just read this.

Sure hope their jeliies and jams don't have "extremely low levels of pentobarbital, like the levels reported to be in select shipments" !!!! (yeah, I know. People food is regulated by the FDA, and has way tighter standards than the pet food industry. Discounting the occasional tailless lizard found in pre-washed salad bags, lol)

I am dumping my Milk Bones and never buying another box. No Pupperoni. I am gonna make my own dog treats from now on. I have this actual dog-bone-press thingie that DH got a few years ago, and it works well. And I sure as taters don't put any Blue Juice in the mix.

We got up to 70 or so today. It was still overcast and MOIST. I went outside to rip boards for CP Coop doors, but it took me and PIC almost an HOUR to find the correct tools needed. DH has this habit of putting taters down wherever and not back into his HUGE tool box. By the time we got everything gathered up, we were both too tired to rip more than one dorr's worth of boards. DH says well HE knows where everything is.... it's not getting into his thick skull that *there's a place for everything, and everything in it's place* is a saying for a reason.....


....... he does this taters in the kitchen too. I hate when he empties the dishwasher cause chit goes wherever he feels like putting it at the moment.


I just realized I am seriously busting DHs chops..... HA!!!
