Official Squatch Watchers

I wouldn't call that normal, but it happens. You may have to help it out eventually.
Bummer for the broody, but I bet if you pick a few, she will raise them for you.
I'm sorry you did so well and got so many chicks

:lau

It's all your fault!! Arrgggh! I thought Seramas were supposed to be very hard to hatch??! :smack lol!

anything to put in the water for lice?
I found my first louse on the head of a tom. After dousing him w/sulfur I can't imagine dusting 2 more turkeys and 52 chickens... just cleaning out the 4 coops is going to whip me out... so for now I put sulfur and poultry dust in a dust box.. I will have to buy
some shavings since I am almost out of leaves that I use for bedding.
The flocks of migrating birds have been roosting in the trees over 2 of the 4 poultry yards and I think they dropped the lousy louse.

Would spraying them all with a permethrin based spray be easier for you rather then dusting them each?

I have not heard of anything that goes into water for lice.
I will research now for you if ya want me to!

@pitbullmomma

Great job with the chicks. :clap

Love Suzi on the bike!! :love

My original 4 Swedish ducks were Chibby, Opie, Tiggy, and Juice. (Juice was a female!) Had a turkey hen named Gemma, 2 golden comets hens, Wendy and Tara. Still have a couple of the ducks, and this is Jax, my sexy Call drake.

Sorry I didn't realize you were a bee keeper.
I personally would think that the bees aren't already landing on the birds...so how much harm is it if you are spraying just the birds and not the whole yard.
But I am not a beekeeper either.

Not a beekeeper either, just care about them :hugs
The bees sometimes go in the coops.. which are cp hoops.. so not a lot to spray in there and it should settle by morning
