Little weirded out this morning....
I found a dead mole in the chicken run. Belly up, literally. It appeared uninjured. I would think it the chickens caught it it would be beat up a little and probably breakfast so I never would have seen it. ????

I tossed in the bushes were no one can eat it. Not sure what killed it so I’d rather be safe.

Ok I will talk to the hubby... he is only like 2hrs north of you... he is still at our old house working. And he will be driving out here in a week I think so may be able to save the shipping and have him pick them up or meet us somewhere close??? If he is ok with getting them hahah(like he has a choice!!)

Bantam cochins make great broodies.

They may be small and cannot handle a lot of eggs but they don't break as many either.

Haha tell my hens that... both bannies, the cochin and the English game hens hatch like 13 of I'm not careful!! ​

Gotcha. Yeah, I am well known to quit watching shows once they've *jumped the shark*. I've got a pretty good feel about them. At the first sign of an internal eyeroll, I'm out!

We just found this in our yard. Buddy found it with the PIC, but Buddy is NOT what killed it.

1. WTF is it?!?! STDH says it's a crawdaddy, but this thing is more the size of a baby lobster! I've NEVER seen a crawdad this big!

2. Could this be what is creating holes in our yard?

So i have a boatload of quail eggs coming and i just found out someone else is sending different quail eggs and pheasant eggs! i love it! These eggs i have had better hurry up and hatch!

That is a crustacean, definitely lives in water. Holes in the yard, probably armadillos.

Yep, windshield, windows, etc. I'm definitely going back to sleep, cuz 2 hrs isn't enough, my brain comes up with too much weird tater.
