The birdcage! I love that movie

:D
Then you will understand the original reason:
I hatched some bantam cochins. One was a beautiful blue frizzle that turned out to be male. I said he was too pretty to be male! So he got named "Armand" :gig

@pitbullmomma I swear my bantam Cochin went through a little mini molt before she was one. I thought it might have been from when I brought her home...a little stress. But I asked here on BYC and several others said they thought they had young ones molting.
@apryl29 Lila is still sitting. I asked her if she was convection cooking her eggs. With this heat they might hatch early to escape the heat. Gonna do a final candle tonight and I should have little fluffy butts this weekend!
How exciting! They are little ovens, aren't they? It makes me worried that it's so hot. But I guess the babies will love it.

Well, I just got back from the post office with my box-o-chicks (and keets). I was supposed to get 5 lavender keets and 4 EE pullets.

I open the box, I have 6 keets and 7 EE pullets.

So, here's your proof.

Here is what the keets look like. My 3 week old Cornish chicks are scared of the little things and keep running away from them.

And here are the EEs. I didn't realize they were so FLUFFY!

Adorable!

We were helping decorate for recital so I didn't get to collect eggs until about 10 and found this:

What the cluck? She was sitting on 6 eggs, none were hers. I'm hoping she was just sleeping. We can't let her set right now.

Aww cute little horder (although I understand you may not feel that way).

The good news about hot weather is you will get to see a lot more of your chickie baby. No need to spend as much time under momma :wee
