I was thinking the same thing!

Yay!!! Ugh.. so close, I can't wait! Babies any time now! When do you lock down?

Anyone hear from Misty lately? I know they were getting ready to move, but I can't remember when we saw her last (probably earlier today and I'm just daft).

Hahaha, great minds think alike! Lock down is on Wednesday, I guess! Shoot, how does that work if I have a serama egg in there that is 4 days behind? Hmmm....

You're right, haven't seen Misty in a long time! I hope she and her hubby are all right! :fl Misty, give a shout out girl!

You know who hasn't been on here forever, is @Sassysouth....anyone heard from her?

All right, seriously time to get off this damn computer, I need to get off the couch and get a life! See yas later! :love :frow

The Great Eggsperiment Day 17!!

All 5 of my eggs are still alive and kicking! I sound really dorky on this video, I'm camera-shy, lol. This is my (hopefully) Lafayette spawn, I'll try to get a video of my lone Serama baby.

Nice Video!

Well I FINALLY got around to processing the taterhead tom.
He was the one that would attack me unless he had high protein turkey feed ONLY.. no grass or weed seeds or berries or garden produce. So much for free ranging:he
He had buggered up his foot a couple of weeks ago and when it was hurting he left me alone. How often does the bird you need to get rid of is the one that gets hurt
I was taking him off the roost in the am and had hopes he would change .. when his foot was better he started up after me again. So I didn't help him and he injured it again :smack
I figured I better do it before he went into full molt... when I carried him he was as calm as could be and if his foot hadn't been bad I don't think I could have done him in. :hit He was 2 1/2 yrs old and I miss him even though he ripped open my legs.

He was a nari, 20lbs dressed and those feathers coming in under the skin are a bear to get out:barnie

Wow sitting here listening to Lulu go on about an egg she laid half an hour ago! Hobo is already on the nest after she left. She's had lovin, and honeydew melon and she is still in there just clucking away lol!:lau I'm not going to complain, she is one of the two actually still laying regular. Marlene pops a good one out once in a blue moon but I don't count on it. Tucks and Susan are too molty and Beavis still hasn't started, she check out nests and creeper watches but no eggs.

They're probably off having a wonderful time w/o us (I hope).
I'm not sure about how lockdown works, I've only had the one broody hatch. Hopefully someone else knows. But even mine hatched early. I wasn't expecting it until Tuesday, but it was a baby on the Sunday.

Don't you hate it when that happens? I feel the same way about Odin.. he was a turd and I don't feel bad about how things turned out, but I do miss him in a way.

Ohhh, ya'll remeber guy said Lulu was slightly overweight? Just out of curiosity I stepped on the scales with her....Lulu adds 10 pounds! She is solid though, like a brick. Tucks dosen't feel anything close to like that, Beavis does though she's bulking up quick thats why i'm thinking maybe Lulu just laid a light colored egg. Beavis is also pushy like Lulu very intent on doing what she's set to do. If iv'e got two Lulus lord help me.:barnie

So you guys, this is totally OT (but what else is new, lol?)

I'm a big wuss, but I have to go to the ENT on Wednesday to get something checked out and it's freaking me out! Have any of you ever had a trans-nasal esophagoscopy before (where they pass a scope through your nose and into your throat?) If so, what was it like and did you gag or puke?

For the past 3 or 4 weeks I've had this weird clicking noise/feeling in my throat right in the thyroid area (where your adam's apple is) every time I swallow (of course, being a nurse and a pessimist, I immediately start thinking I have cancer). I went to my regular doc and she said I need to see my ENT, so I made an appt. (Cappy--don't tell me it's worms, lol, OK! Cuz it's not. :p)

Thing is, I have anxiety, and this SEVERE phobia of puking. I haven't puked in 44 years (I am not kidding). Seriously, even though I've been a nurse since forever, I have this fear of it. To the point where I almost passed out once when i first started nursing in the ER, trying to pass an NG tube down someone who started puking up blood.

I am so afraid he is going to want to do this procedure right then and there (as my regular doc already said he may) and I won't be able to go through it. If he does, I am going to see if he can do an alternate test or if I can come back and get it done sedated.

So, if any of you have ever had this done before and you can give any insight on what it was like, I would be eternally grateful!

XO Cindi

ETA: It's kinda embarassing to even ask this, considering what @apryl29 kid just went through....but that's been my phobia forever. Every nurse has their one thing that freaks them out, and puking is mine. I have done some really gross things as a nurse and a vet and didn't bat an eye. But puke....ahhhh...my sister and my aunt have the same fear, so it must be genetic, lol.
