Good morning! It was 36 this morning but I swear it felt colder. Hubs actually tried to fix that dead vacuum! He failed of course, too much of that motor is just pressed together so not much that can actually be taken apart "thank goodness". I can't understand for the life of me why he's so determined to save the old clunker. Vacuums die and are replaced, it is the circle of life. It looks like i'm going to be able to dodge all holiday outings this year yay! MIL's people had one no show "not me,nobody cares if I show or not lol!" so the important no show is making nobody want to get together. I will totally take it, even though that is just strange as strange gets.:caf

Wow, sounds like you lucked out on both accounts. You'd be using that vacuum until it catches fire.. and he'd still try to fix it. Yay for getting to be home for the holiday.

Right? My kids go to their dad's house for Tgiving.. Every year my mom holds everyone else off on the holiday until Saturday to do it when we're there. We literally could not care less about it. I hate holidays, my kids are having Tgiving w/ their dad.. Just do it w/o us. But every other year she makes everyone else miss out on have a normal holiday just for us. Yes, let's inconvenience 10 people for 3 who don't care.

Their attitude seems to be wait and see what happens. Never mind my suffering in the interim.

That's the problem with accountants deciding what medical treatment folks need. DW hurt her foot 2 years ago, still hurts, all testing denied. Sicking the state insurance watch dog on them next. Willing to pay the cost of the MRI out of pocket at insurance prices. But doesn't seem to be an option. So a $70 procedure costs $650. Reporting that to the insurance board as well.
 
I've never understood how it became the norm to question a doctor. Not as the patient. As the patient you should ask questions and discuss treatments. But what insurance company knows better then what my doctor and I decide.

I have nasal allergies. I can't stand and can't use Flonase. So I get Nasocort. I go to fill by rx, nope...you can have Flonase. I then have to call my Dr., they have to call the insurance and I have to back to the pharmacy for the ex I should have been given in the first place.

You don't take your car to the mechanic and he says "you need brakes" then the insurance company says "well we think you should get headlights so that's what we will cover."

Unfortunately, you now have accountants making medical decisions for you. The entire medical enterprise is totally corrupt these days. And the doctor doesn't work for you, his office manager works for the insurance company and he works for her. The whole system needs to be destroyed and re-built from the ground up. Without the insurance companies. Sorry for the rant.

RJ I think you are saying what many many many thousands of people feel.

It's very frustrating trying to even get basic care.
