I originally bought it through an amazon Cyber Monday sale. That machine was defective and Dell sent me a replacement that was better than the original I bought ( more RAM, touch screen) and that is the computer that broke.

Alright, I’m headed to bed now. I had a nap from 10:30-12pm and had to get up to do some work. Going back to bed after I finish my glass of milk.

I am updating a computer to the new 1903 version of windows. The screen has been black with the only indication that anything is going in being the hd access light blinking. It has been about 10 minutes so far.

We're now up to 58, 2 who just hatched and are really weak. They aren't due to hat til tomorrow.

Dell support sucks in the worst way, last resort very last resort.

We get business support (we're technically government) so we've never had a problem.

I doubt it. I think the guarantee has expired.

I saw nothing, nada. I will definitely call Dell to see if there is anything that can be done.

In case you don't already know, a great feature of Windows 10 is the ability to take the hard drive out of 1 computer and put it in a different one and it magically finds the drivers and boots. With older Windows versions you had the have the exact same motherboard for that to work. So even if you do have to buy a new pc you should be able to slap the drive into the new computer and be up and running in minutes. (might make a back up just in case if there's something important on it. I did this w work computers that are disposable so I don't care much if bad things happen, but you probably will.

They finally sent a tech out and he was just awful, took so many smoke breaks and couldn't fix the issue either.
Not exagerating one bit , this is Dell consumer support.

That's horrible. We never have anyone come out, they send us parts after we troubleshoot. We buy in bulk so there's always another pc to swap parts from and tell them that certain things are bad and they send it w/ minimal trouble

Sasquatch sighting?? Your title caught my eye because I saw a youtube last month that mentioned Dinosaur blood, tissue and flexible tendon find by a scientist that was fired by the university where she taught. Then, about a week later I saw an internet article on the Loch Ness monster and scientists have been collecting DNA in the water, results to follow later in the summer of 2019.

Our original thread was started by a woman who had a feral chicken sighting and it was dubbed a Squatch. There was a rooster that was found, but the hen disappeared and was never seen again (as far as we know). The original thread got huge and one of the original contributors started this thread so we could all keep socializing. You're more than welcome to join in, people come and go all the time.. we talk about most anything, so feel free to jump in.

Oh... best of luck to you! I just upgraded a laptop & didn't have a problem, though I'm waiting for other pcs. Thing that made me the most angry is that you cannot install for a jump drive, you have to copy it to the hard drive b/c something w/ it changing drive letters. Sigh. Of course it doesn't TELL you this, if gives you a bs message about not being able to install, then when you click on the error to investigate then it tells you you can't use an external device for installation.

I am currently trying the peanut butter with baking soda rat poison. I have set it out for 3 nights and all the bait has been taken each time. I don't know how long it is supposed to take to kill a rat, but I will keep it up for a week to see how it goes.

Good morning guys.

Thing 1 grabbed one of DH’s bandanas this morning and asked me to “put on the mouth”. He walked around like that for 10 min or so. This is the closest I’ll get to posting a picture of his whole face until he is old enough to want his pictures posted.

I’m trying it too.
Different recipe though.
Using baking soda/corn meal/hot chocolate mix.

Seeing a few rats in the early evening and want to get on top of it.

They are so darn smart.
Set up a live trap yesterday baited with a tiny piece of Reece’s peanut butter cup thins and had one in there this morning!
But I’m ashamed to admit that he got loose when I tried to get him out. Dernit.
I’ll be much quicker next time.

Next door got their puppy which they’ll probably neglect just like the rabbits, and I had to ask them nicely to do some cleanup. If the smell of three rabbits in two hutches overpowers a chicken coop you know it’s bad.

Apologies for being absent a bunch this past week squatchers, currently dealing with some family issues.

Also cooper update: went to get the stitches out this morning and I was so proud because the one vet said he owed the other vet $5.
He was 100% certain coop would never make it two weeks without getting out of the cone of shame and biting out the stitches.

All stitches stayed intact.

He has to wear the cone for 4-5 more days then he’s a free dog again.

It appears that my desktop, which is an all in one dell with a touch screen has a dead screen. I’ve done a hard restart twice. NOTHING.



The dang thing is only a year and a half old.

I’ve decided the buzz cut is the easiest way to manage his hair. He has so many cowlicks that growing his hair back out from the first buzz cut he got makes him look like a wild man.

I’m ready for him to be a big brother. I’m tired of being pregnant.
