Still morning here.
Weed eater has been run, veggies have been picked, weeds mostly pulled from inside the greenhouse, front and back yards are mowed.
Oh and 5 or 6 stupid dog arguments have been stopped. I have no idea what has gotten into these girls.I guess while I run errands I will split them up 100%.
I took Jack out to the human side of the yard. He wanted out but those girls are to crazy running around. I worry they will hurt him crashing into him.
He did a couple laps around, scared the daylights out of bunnies and chickens then had a good lay down in the cool grass.
No he was not lunging at anyone, he is just a big black lumbering beast.![]()
That is a great idea. Thanks! I was thinking I had to keep them inside until big enough for the fence -- lots of room inside, but outside is better.the standard net has holes that my chicks get through. this one has a short piece of non electric chick net attached to the inside that has 3/4 inch holes. I have had a few that jump up on the horizontal stand above the chick net, and go exploring. https://www.premier1supplies.com/p/shock-or-not-poultry-fence?cat_id=139
Is Jack the only boy you've got Henny?
Groundbreaking day! The little derps finally think honeydew melons are o.k.....i'm glad, they're so much cheaper than cantaloupe or watermelon right now.
.Yeah, Jack is my only guy now. He is getting up there....and it shows.....
I often call him "my big guy". He doesn't seem to mind.
Hubs is on that list for a bloodhound. That will be a female too.
My Derps still think I am a demon.
I handed out red tomatoes from the garden.
Bigger grenades than those strawberries.![]()
Quick birdy update:
I'm throwing my corid in the garbage unless someone wants it. I moved the littles out to the big coop in their own area. After a week I noticed a little of that "I'm not feeling well" posture. So I do the standard treatment for coccidiosis just in case. 2 days in and I have a Swedish flower with a corkscrew neck! Bring it in and start treatment right away. It's doing better.
But I lost my growth challenged frizzle. She wasn't feeling well and I brought her in too. Got some baby parrot food in her and she seemed to perk up but this morning she wasn't right. She was only pooping liquid and struggled to do that. I didn't feel anything that made me think she was stopped up but something was wrong. I snuggled her yesterday under the heating pad and did all I could. I knew she was a long shot and more then likely something other then her growth was off.
I also have a Donald Duck sneezer. Heard that for the first time today so it's getting treatment now too. (Separately from wry neck and friend)
