I shot a possum inside the coop tonight, my ears are still ringing. It got in through welded wire, I am going to put another layer of wire through. I have had a bad year for losses.

I survived 26 bloodhounds!

Ok so I didn't handle anyone that didn't NEED handled. I did bottle feed the broken puppy. I also sat outside with the mom and petted her for about 45 minutes. She needed a break and the pups were sleeping. She is a nice dog.

Last year I shot 8 or 9 of them. There may be more.

By me there is a never ending supply of predators.. I live next to a forest preserve, have two creeks on my property and a wildlife rehaber upstream

We are in 13 acres of woods, on a river. Have to drive on 2 dirt roads to get here, we are at the end of the second one.

Nunny, I'm so sorry about Clayton. I know he passed with full knowledge that he was loved, and warm.

Chooky, glad they found the culprits, but it sucks that another flock being lost was how they found it. In a way I feel bad that the dogs were surrendered, but the owners irresponsibility is the reason all of this happened in the first place.
