Finally got our handyman friend to come by this morning to discuss our enclosed run. Can’t wait! Good timing, too. I just heard there’s a fox around. I think it got a chicken from the corner neighbors who don’t use any fencing.

Good morning everyone,

We are skipping church today. Thing 1 had a fever yesterday and the rest of us aren’t feeling all that well. I got to sleep in!


There are actually some fleas that are resistant to frontline and other topical treatments now. My parents use soresto as well. One of their dogs is prone to seizures (1-2 a year usually associated with not eating enough) and any time she’s been dosed with anything topical or given one of the pills her seizures would get worse.

I’m going to reply to myself and just say I like everybody else’s responses better. Lol! I work for the schools, so that is the first thing coming to our minds whenever we hear someone’s sick, especially with a fever, right now. Sorry to be a downer. Just get better!

No I'm dealing with some infection due to my Crohn's.

I doubt it is the virus. More GI than respiratory. Besides, I don’t want to end up on some government list as a person who has had it unless I or a family member needs to go to the hospital for it. Yes, I’m paranoid.

And the saga continues. We are going to have to do some hawk proofing tomorrow. I don’t think the hawk can easily get into the pens, but it is scaring the crap out of my chicks.

I got a shot of both my suspected boys, you can see one of the girls in the back lots of feathers and getting a tail.
Puddin has none of that yet.
Jerry is getting feathers and a decent comb.
Both stayed firmly wedged up my butt, very clingy.
