You feed your chickens 28%? I guess I never questioned the max protein intake of chickens, but I thought it was supposed to be 16% for layers. Did you maybe mean quail?
I have chickens and turkeys.
Over 30 some % is harmful to chickens. People who show feed 30% for feather condition

No kidding!
I still carry a pretty gnarly scar from her displeasure with my behavior.
You don't even want to know much fun it is getting antibiotics for such an injury.
Loads of fun, teeny tiny loads. :caf
I WAS going to offer to send you a tiger for a few days......might not be a good idea if it makes kitty mad enough to bite bums.

Generally I do the construction around here. He works insane hours so I try to let him rest on his days off....few and far between that they are.
I am sure if I ask he will help.

The height restriction is to keep it out of sight of the neighbor. Catch 22......the house is uphill from where the coop is going. If I can see in their yard from my windows then they can see in ours.
Are you not allowed to have a coop?
How’s the boss’s wife doing?
Ours is 8’ high. I really don’t remember how that happened, but I did sign off on it. I’m sure he gave me a good reason at the time. It’s just now we still need to put up the wire. That should be fun :(

Oh I am not looking forward to what iv'e got to do, not one bit.
Iv'e got to scold that old neighbor fella about keeping his fat goats off my fence.
I suspected they were squishing it but today I saw it happen.
I don't dislike goats or anything but they are damaging a welded wire fence that I sort of need unsquished.
Im respectful as a mofo to him, he's late 70's ,a Navy veteran and my 'dad's freind from way back.
He saw my fence last time his billy shanghaied my yard, watched his goat "climb" over....zero offers to help fix it
a tad tacky but whatevs he gets a peepaw pass that day.
It was later discovered a small tree took out his hot wire allowing 200 lbs of pee stank to run free soooo I offer him tree/hotwire help he refused, said his son in law would get it.
Fast forward to today not a stinking thing has changed.
He does not feed them, forage only and my place is a jam up salad bar.
If he continues to coot around and do nothing I will have to either forcibly fix his fence or become a goat rustler.
Do you know his son in law? I’m thinking since he expected the guy to help then maybe you can talk to him and see what’s going on. Or just fix the fence in the night. Lol!

Calling @DanielE1990 & @CapricornFarm:
I don’t know if you can help, but I really hope so.
I saw something that appears to be scale on the outside bottom of my 55. Could this be an early warning that it’s leaking? Sorry this isn’t the best picture. There are several spots. There is also a spot on the side at the top where condensation has been dripping, but I don’t see anything dripping on the front.

Sometimes when you fill or maintain your tank, the water runs down to the bottom like that. When the water evaporates, it leaves minerals behind.

I'd say either a small drip from filling the tank like stated above. It it was a leak starting it would not have dried.
