Official Squatch Watchers

Hey @Rubysword! good to see you!
I had 6 chicks hatch a week ago. You can read about it in my incubation thread.

@CapricornFarm got new bunnies

@rjohns39's male piggy appears to have been given the old "snip-snip" so no baby piggies are coming

A bunch of us have been sick, including my Milk Drinker, who is currently wheezing but bouncing around in my lap like he doesn't have a care in the world.

Hey peeps
1 Parents are giving me a respite to BYC, cuz one of our chickens is sick. We've seen blood everywhere, and it's all over her comb. We think it's frostbite. We put blu-kote on it and moved the chicken's roosts to dad's workshop, which is connected to the workshop and warmer and drier, but not significantly enough to lose their acclimation.

Whoah, whoah, whoah, @CSAchook has squatches?!!?!?! When did this happen?!?!?!

Oooh, we're on the topic of taters, are we? I love me some mashed taters, and/or some tater tots. Don't judge me. They're good.

What else did I miss?
Hi Ruby!! We've missed you

A friend just tagged me on this sweet guy. The rescue place thinks it was a owner surrender because it is a rooster. That makes me mad, but at least they didn’t dump him somewhere, and that at least warms my heart

So I called about the rooster. Apparently this lady at a dog rescue listed it on Petfinder for a someone trying to get rid of 5 roosters. A FB Bird Rescue saw it and added it to their site. A lady I gave our rescue Vizsla to, from Florida, tagged me because the town is 30 minutes away that has the roosters and she didn’t want them to be eaten.

Hey! Where did the vizsla come from originally? I have a friend who's a breeder.

Christmas eve it started snowing and only one cockerel was brave enough to go out in it... well his dad had something to do with getting the obnoxious teenager out of the house:lau
Dad is 1/2 CX and the cold doesn't agree with him so he isn't chasing the son
getting to be a bit messy in that 8x8 hoop coop w/17 chickens in it :barnie
one good thing about below zero weather at least they are not getting all messed up.. the deep litter is not working to well in that coop w/too many birds.

The thanksgiving brood is in a hoop coop that gets more sun... their horizontal nipple water is brought out about 9 am and stays usable until 3:30, if the sun is out...they go to bed about 4 so that is working out...

Since Christmas only the turkeys have gone more than 3' from the coops doors...
